Heading into the performance phase of my project, Kieran Hebden's improvisational style has always inspired me.
I had a beautiful moment once, dancing in my kitchen listening to Four Tet's Everything Ecstatic. I imagined that it was being improvised and I had a vision of some instrument that didn't exist, with which that kind of music could be performed all at once. That continues to be an evolving blue-print in my mind. |
